Dear kids,

yesterday, when packing stuff for our relocation/moving, i found a lot of pictures and other stuff that reminded me back to the time when you both were born.
So i got the idea to share some of my thoughts regarding life with you. At least my 2 cents. I'll try to update this Blog at least once a week.
I hope you have fun reading this Blog, when you are a bit older an capable of reading english.

Weitere Auswüchse des Regimes um Lemmingsworld. ( = Tirol, Österreich, Europa)

Derjenige, der etwas besitzt wird vogelfrei. Man nimmt es Ihm weg und teilt es in der Allgemeinheit auf. Im Unrechtsstaate Österreich hat mein keine Hemmungen mehr, die miesen Fratzen zu zeigen.
Das wars mit der Rechtssicherheit. Eigentum gibt’s nicht mehr. Alles kann einem schneller weggenommen werden, als man sich umschauen kann.
So etwas gibt’s im wildesten Afrika nicht, was die Schwarzen hier in Tirol aufführen. (Anmerkung: Mit der Farbe Schwarz ist hier wohlgemerkt die politische Färbung gemeint)
Aber ich habe keine Sorge, dass das auch bald im restlichen Europa usus wird. Hier bereichern sich Immobilienbauträger, Politiker etc. und ernennen die Erfolgreichen, Vermögenden und die Intellektuellen zu den Buhmännern.

Lustige Fragebögen

Leider konnte ich keine der Personal Agenturen, mit denen ich in Kontakt stehe/stand dazu bewegen, mir einen Ihrer Standard Fragebögen zu überlassen um diesen dann auf meinem Blog zum Download anzubieten.
Das Problem ist ganz einfach zu lösen: Sie - sehr geehrter Blog Leser - bewerben sich einfach auf eine der vielen Anzeigen in Ihren Regionalen Nachrichten. Ich bin mir sicher, das der nächste "press-mich-in-einen-Standard-und-habe-bitte-keine-eigene-Identität" Fragebogen nicht lange auf sich warten lässt.

Einen habe ich dann doch noch zum Download gefunden.

Immer noch auf dem Weg...

Nach Langem ist es wieder einmal an der Zeit, mein Leid zu klagen. :-)

In Österreich einen Job als Software-Entwickler zu finden ist sehr schwierig - zumindest wenn es der Richtige sein soll und man von Wien absieht.
Nicht nach Wien zu gehen hat private Gründe und wenn ich mich dazu entschliessen sollte einen Ortswechsel vorzunehmen der 50km übersteigt, würde es mich ohnehin gleich ins Ausland ziehen.

Die meisten Stellenbeschreibungen sind entweder als Programmierer oder als Anwendungsentwickler (meist ERP) zu verstehen. Etwas das ein bißchen abseits davon steht ist selten zu finden. Abgesehen davon muß man den meisten Entscheidern erst einmal den Unterschied zwischen Programmierer und Software-Entwickler klar machen.

Nicht zuletzt darf man sich bei einzelnen Bewerbungen dann noch mit tollen Standard Fragebögen auseinandersetzen.
Manche Fragen, wie zB die, nach dem bisherigen Gehalt weiss ich nicht, ob ich diese als dumm oder als frech verstehen soll.
Wenn man schon von leistungsgerechter Bezahlung spricht, was hat dann bitte der nächste Job mit dem letzten zu tun?
Und über die Anzahl der Geschwister/Brüder die Teamfähigkeit zu ermitteln mag zwar im bestimmten Kontext eine unbestimmte, gewisse psychologische Aussagekraft haben aber aus der Anzahl alleine Schlüsse abzuleiten... Naja, da fehlt dann zumindest mir das Verständnis. *am Kopf kratz.. vielleicht liegt ja GENAU DA das Problem ;-)*
Ich frag mal, ob ich den Einen oder Anderen Fragebogen hier einstellen darf.

Nun denn, der Traumjob lässt auf sich warten und damit einem der Weg nicht allzu lange vorkommt sollte man sich besser darauf einstellen den Weg als Ziel zu sehen;-)

Computer Games & Violence

Blogging is great… And blogging is difficult. How to write a public diary? Usually I don’t want to offend somebody, but on the other hand I want to represent my opinion as clear as possible.

Recently there has been a very sad incident in one of germanies schools. A young man ran amok and injured a lot of people. Since the authorities found several so called “First Person Shooter” games in his home, the whole discussion about banning such computer games came up again. The discussion itself, for sure is legitimate, but there also have been reports and TV shows that did a good deal of polarization on the topic.

You see there are already at least three topics in one to write a blog-entry about. I’ll concentrate on the computer games.

Well, I hope that we all agree that a computer game (or what game so ever) is some sort of copy of the real world and not vice versa!! ...Good.

I think some people – well very many of them – make it for themselves very easy if they just say that one could run amok by playing the right/wrong computer games. Mind you, there is a lot of violence on the tele in TV shows, the News Magazines, etc., and if the former statement would be true, I think there would be much more people running amok. There is not doubt, that young people need guidance, but I am against categorical prohibition.

I am fed up with stupid, simple minded people, not seeing a larger picture, and reducing very complex flows in the human psyche to a simple computer game in comparison. As far as I’m concerned, ignorance and stupid simple people tempt me much more for running amok then anything else.

The end of the world... or maybe not

It has been some time since my first Blog entry, and I am not coming with a new specific application scenario, but I think all of you have been confronted with something similar like this at some point in your career:

“We are sorry to reject your application, but at the moment we don’t have an appropriate job that meets your qualification”

My question now is: “Why should anyone be sorry, that I am overqualified for a certain job opportunity?” Well, at least most people I know wouldn’t be devasted and commit suicide just because the have been rejected for a job without a formal excuse. The world will not cease to exist, believe me.

Anyway, if you have had a similar experience in your career, let me know.
